Hey guys. Not really new to the site, but havent spent a lot of time here. Ill be brief on my situation...and hopefully I can get some advice on this...

I am 5'11" 230 lbs. I am looking to lose some weight and eventually gain some muscle mass. My stamina isnt what it should be, and i know I need to be in better cardiovascular shape.
I own a nice treadmill and a Weider Crossbow machine (someone was throwing it out and I said...hey ill take that!!!) Ive used both in the past but cant seem to get into a routine. I dont have a gym membership (yet) and cant really afford a personal trainer.

So my question is this...what kind of routine should I be doing with the equipment I have? I have also considered buying some dumbells to go along with what I have. I want to try to run on the treadmill about 3 or 4 times a week...for about 45 minutes to an hour and workout almost everyday, at least doing something. Should I just try to follow the program freetrainers laid out for me...or should I do more...or less? I just want to do as much as I can with what I have.

Id like to drop about 30 pounds, and after losing some weight, start working out to gain muscle mass (i know at that point I will need to join a gym or buy more equipment). Any advice would be appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!

The biggest thing to do is to get into a routine. The FT workout programs work and they will give you some short term goals.
