Hello,

I'm 19 and I weigh 135lbs. I'm only 5'9 so I have a tall and skinny type of body. I'd like to add more weight (muscle) and loose the fat around my stomach so that my abs show. I do have abs down there, you can feel them, but they're underneath the fat. How do I loose the fat down there? I've read the cardio post above and understand that if I do a lot of cardio, I'll just burn muscle in the end. I don't need to loose any muscle. I signed up for the 12 week abs prorgam and "at home no weights/machines" workout plans. When should I run? I'd like to add 10-15lbs of muscle. At the end of the summer I'll have access to a gym.

Thanks,
Lance

If you have the muscle down there don't select the 12 week ab program. Select the Mass Building program. Lean Muscle burns more calories which burns fat. As they say on the boards six packs are made in the kitchen. Take a look at your diet make sure you are eating. Fill out your profile and Welcome to FT.

Thanks for the reply. This weekend I am going to pick up a free weights set and switch to the mass building program. That away I work out in all areas too. I'll do a 5min cardio warm up before I work out also. Change up my diet too.
