so i read that you shouldnt lift weights everyday. but is there a difference between free weights and the abductor machine for example? i dont use the heavy machines/weights, the ones over there where all the big body builder people are;), i use machines for triceps,inner/ outer thigh, hamstring, back, crunch, leg press. at various weights depending on machine. i lost alot of weight doing this (along with 1/2 hour on elliptical 6 days a week). i am just confused on the wording. the machines i use seem to b natalus type, not free weights.

at anyrate, if it isnt ok, how did i lose weight?

All depends how you interpet everyday? Some lift 5 days a week (myself) and some lift 3 etc etc. As with any exercise, a rest day is recomended.
Resistance training with cardio and proper diet is the best method to lose bodyfat. Machines, free weights or bands are all god forms of resistance training.
And keep up your good work.
