just looking for alternative advice....

should I be lifting heavy at the moment as I have an endurance challenge in May........The weights in the challenge will be a lot lighter than I am lifting now but there are a lot more reps....

Hi Pambam. I would think that training with heavier weights would achieve the endurance you need since that inevitably builds stronger muscles. I can't say for sure since I don't do many reps in my sets, usually 12 max.
Good luck in the competition.

Oh yes you need to lift heavier if that's needed for the competition. First you'll just be able to do a few reps and then you'll slowly build up the endurance (and strength).

All the very best luck to you!

(nice new pic by the way!)
