I was wondering. I went out and got a real nice home gym so I could work everything out esp. legs. Being able to do Squats is very helpful........I think. The thing is this. I work out 3 times a week and every time I work out my legs they hurt for almost a full week. They will stop hurting like a day or two before I have to work them out again. My question is simply should they be hurting every single time I work them?

Depending on if you change how you train them...how long you have been training...have you trained before...your diet....and your age......These are all things that can have an effect on the soreness in your legs. To alleviate some of this soreness, after working your legs, go for a 5 minute cool down jog. Stretch the leg muscles holding them for 30 seconds apiece. Drink lots of H2O, up the protein intake, and don't do anything after leg day, a daily vitamin will help; and have a friend, wife, girlfriend give them a five minute massage or hire it done- this will help move that lactic acid around and relax the muscle.(i.e. run, swim, play sports...allow them to rest and recover.)
