hi, I learned 2 leg workouts -- Deadlifts and squats. Unfortunately, the biggest free weights in my gym is about 50kg, which isn't much!! So I am having to use the deadlift machine, whereby I am sat down and I simply push with my legs. This machine claims to work primary and secondry muscles, yet people claim machines fail to work other muscles and act as stabilisers.

Will the machine be good enough to build up my legs or not?

IMO, machines aren't the best but if they are the best you have, just go with it. You can still get a heavy pump from a machine, especially if you concentrate on the muscle being worked. When it gets right down to it in many cases, a muscle group is only as strong as the supporting muscles.
