OK, I've just started the 12 week abs training. The leg raises hurt!!! The safety advice says to stop doing leg raises if I feel discomfort in my lower back. I am feeling discomfort in my lower back and lower stomach during leg raises but I would expect to as this is the area I'm working. What's the difference betwewen 'discomfort' and pain that would be expected doing such excercises?
Look you shouldn't take the 12 week abs program if you are a begginer. You should probably start training with easier exercises for your first month. I know that leg raises hurt because i have felt the pain!!!! It will all go away as soon as you get used to it. it takes patience and concentration, and don't forget if it starts really hurting STOP don't hurt yourself over 1 exercise!!
