a couple of weeks a did proper leg workouts for like the 1st time, i did squats and my legs hurt like hell for about 3 or 4 days after that, then i did leg workout again the next week and it didnt hurt so much, and only for about 1 or 2 days after, is this normal?

Totally normal.. doing legs once a week sometimes they stop hurting just 1-2 days before its time to work them out again.
