I used to have the same problem. Now, since I have started the FT program I have accepted the challenge. I have changed my diet to give me the energy I need to sustain a full workout at the gym.
I loaded a MP3 player with some hard rocking tunes for motivation and drive... this keeps my mind busy and my body moving!
I have set a goal for myself. The BIG goal is to get lean and mean. The small goal to get there is to complete the 8 week program supplied by FT. Since I only get one weeks advance peek of my next set of exercises, it keeps me curious and interested in whats in store for the following week! Once that small goal is met, I will challenge myself to a 12 week program!
I started riding my mountain bike at the local walking trail... then when I got bored with doing large ovals, I just hit the sidewalks around my home. Using a odometer I can track how far I have gone. Keeps it interesting.
After awhile you will have conditioned yourself to get to the gym. It will be a habit. A GOOD habit! If you are a social person, find a workout partner... you can motivate one another.

I've been there before too, I get all pumped up and ready to work out and then I get in the weight room and find myself lethargic. For me, it is a mind set. I have to "want" it and I have to get my mind involved with my body or I feel like I am just lifting heavy objects for no reason. For example, when I am working out, instead of just going in and humping through the set, I think of why I am there and then I concentrate very hard on the muscle I am working. Sounds weird, but it helps me a great deal. And, of course, when I start to see results...well, it just takes off then.
I hope you find your motivation soon!

Make sure you are eating properly pre-workout.

Eating properly plays a big role. What is your nutrition like? You are motivated, otherwise you wouldn't be at the gym or here.
