I will be having lasik in a couple of weeks and I was told to talk a break from the gym for a week. Is there anything I can do at home to minimize losses or is there not much to worry about. When I return to the gym I plan to repeat the prior week and then continue on. Should I continue my creatine regime over that week? Anyone have any experience with this? Jason

No I would use that week to relax and recover it is good every once in a while to take a break, a week you should not see that much of a loss. Some advice take it slow and a little easy when you go back..

when i had lasik done i was told not exercise for 2 weeks cause if you get sweat in your eyes it could interfere with the healing process. i would definintely advise you to take the week off and not risk anything regarding your eyes. your paying enough for the surgery, better to not screw anything up! :) plus you may need the week off to rest/recover. a week off here and there always helps me to come back refreshed and raring to go!

I was given a "recommended activity schedule" when I had the surgery done. It listed what could/should be done the day of surgery, 24 hours after surgery, 48 hours after surgery, then it listed activities you could perform at day 3, day 7, one month, and 3 months post surgery. You will be given a lot of literature to read the day of surgery that should answer any questions you may have.
