Ok, I played soccer professionally for 8 years and played soccer all through my youth for a grand total of 22 years. Ive never had an injury to speak of. After a 3 year break, Ive started playing again. My knees have started giving me problems. I believe its my LCL's. They started acting up at the exact same time. I can run fine with no pain, and there is no restriction of movement. It only hurts when I cut, and when I stop abruptly. I ice them after games and take an Advil once a day. Advil completely eliminates the pain for about 8 hours.
My question is: Is this just because Im out of soccer shape? Is this something that will be cronic that I will have to deal with forever? Will it subside the more I play?
