Hi, I'm trying to loose weight. I'm not really interested in gaining muscle of anything. I just want to loose weight. I'm a swimmer so I already have PLENTY of strength and muscle. I'm 5'5 and weigh 137lbs and I'm16 years old. I'm trying to reach my goal of loosing 15 pounds by August 10th (Cross Country Season begins)... Anyways, I've been trying to diet but that not working well. I've been attempting to start jogging but when I jog alone I just don't have any motivation... Does anyone have any sugestions on how I can readch my goal of 122lbs by then?

It is exercise and diet. I would say running would do it. It will make you thin. Swimming is great too. It would be good if you had a workout partner. I think you can reach your goal by your target date. What does your diet consist of?

at 5'5 you are at a good weight, why go down? Unless it is for swimming purposes I see...However if you are a female n/m

Cut the calories and up the cardio.

filling up your profile would do wonders actually, helps people know your goals, and how to best approach them. Ever tried on getting exercises that would magnify your strength as a swimmer? lifting weights and doing targeted exercises for a sport does wonders for your performance. :)
yeah. up the cardio, since you're a swimmer, you'll need it for endurance.

I'm loosing weight for the purposes of Cross Country. The coach said that she prefers that we stay down to about 125 lbs at my height so I'm trying to get down towards that. My diet.... hmm..... I usually don't eat breakfast because I get up kind of late around 11 am and I exercize around then and by the time I get around to eating its lunch time. I usually have a sandwhich, with either some sort of meat on it. Dinner consists of meat, vegetables.... thats about it for meals.... I usually have a snack somewhere in their that is usually something like a cup on pretzles, crackers. or a peice of fruit.

You need to eat breakfast it truly is the most important meal of the day....How many calories you consuming now? Im at 145 and want to get down to 130 so Im on a diet of around 1200-1500 calories a day and my diet looks like this

Pancakes or bowl of cheerios
skim milk
1/2 cup of berries

Snack 1
Fruit cup of pineapple

Lunch
Pita stuffed with ham and turkey
carrots
lettuce
tomato

Snack 2
Protein Shake w/ water

Dinner
3oz chicken breast
w/ veggies

Snack 3
Small salad
1/2 cup of cottage cheese

I've dropped a good bit of weight using this Id recommend it but find a diet that works for you and you like and is good for you.
