I was on a cardio bike the a couple of days ago and my knees hurt whenever I bend them to a 90 degree angle when I'm standing. My elbows also hurt sometimes when I'm doing a tricep extension. Is this normal for a 16 year old?! Is it also true that weight training will strenthen your bones and ligaments to prevent injury in your joints?

Well, the knee pain's gone away but I'm still feeling it in my elbows when extending the arm with alot of resistance... anyone got anything?

probably got tendinitus....it's very hard to say for certain....you should consult with a doctor
things that may help:
Cissus Quadrangularis
Fish Oil
Celedrin
Glucosomine/Choindroitin/MSM
but seriously go see a doc...forums are not really a place to get a diagnose of a injury/disease/etc....how are we supposed to know? none(most) of us are doctors or specialists in the area....even if someone happens to read your post with the right credentials s/he still can't really help you...without seeing you in person, seeing x-rays, etc....many things have common symptoms...etc...

Wasn't really looking for a complete diagnosis, I know that you can't examine me over the web. The post you gave me up there was all I was really looking for; possibilities and suggestions.
Again though, I was wondering if weight training will help to prevent injuries in the bones, joints, ligaments etc. by strengthening them, and if not, what will.
