jogging, before or after lifting?

so i jog 30 mins 5 days a week, and mwf, i lift weights, too, my dad said i should jog for 30 first cuz its bad to do it after, then this guy said its better to jog before weights, what is right?

If your goal is fat loss, it is better to do cardio after resistance training.

Always had seemed to me that it just feels rite to do it after. Its kinda like the shake it all out thing - ya know' :)

This post is a couple months old, and I hate to bump an old post, but I just thought I'd add my own perspective: Everything you do requires energy, and eventually you'll get tired. If you lift first and run second, you might get tired while running, which means you stop running. If you run first and lift second, you might get tired while lifting, and that means a barbell falls on your face.

That's great. I never thought about it that way. :laugh::laugh:

With that said, you could also run in the morning before breakfast. I do that, and I do light cardio for warm-up before weight training. And I do HIIT on a completely different day than weight training days.
