WEIGHT TRAINING (gain muscle) *AND* WEIGHT LOSS (cardio)
like 45 min on the weights and 30 min on the cardio ??

Sure, you want both forms of fitness. Strength training will build muscular strength and size, and muscle will greatly aid in burning of fat, and cardio is essential for cardiovascular health. You don't give a profile, so we don't really know your goals, but from a standard health perspective, both of these should be done.
