I jus wondered if I'm doing enough to get what I want for myself. I want to lose the fat I have and tone up a bit, most improtantly I want great looking arms.

I generally lift weights for 20 minutes and then run a mile or so as quickly as I can. All the lifting is on the arms and chest. I'll then do a few push ups and a few sit ups until I can do no more. That's on usually 4 nights per week. Then on either saturday or sunday I'll do the same weights but run say 4 miles instead.

I don't seem to have time to do anymore than that at a time.

Will I get any benefit from protein shakes and the like. I'm a vegetarian so obviously get very little protein in my regular diet.

Well you definitley need to get alot of protein. Atleast a gram per pound of bodyweight. Also start working all muscles in your body. Seperate them by each day doing a different one or two. If you use the workout planner on this site it will ask you how many days a week you can lift and just put it in and it will make you a workout custom for your needs. I would switch your cardio workout as well. Maybe do some biking and things like that
