I'm not interested in lifting a ton of weight (pun intended!), so my cousin suggested interval training. I found that I get an amazing workout in a really short amount of time. Here's what I've done (for 1 month now): after a light warmup, I workout intensely for 45 seconds, take a break of 20 seconds, and repeat that cycle 8 times. I vary the exercise between lifting small weights, push-ups, sit-ups, and even riding a stationary bike. It's amazing how much stamina and strength you develop in just 10 minutes! And you don't need a lot of equipment - just an alarm/timer to keep you on track. (Gymboss makes a great one.) This is the best system I've ever found for staying fit without a huge commitment.
