Hi,
I'm kind of new to weightlifting and now that I am in a college weight lifting class I will actually have to stick to my workouts so no excuses :)

I have always been that "weak" kid so I was wondering how quickly I could improve my bench...or any other lift...in 12 weeks while working out each muscle group 3x a week on MWF for a about an hour with T/TH being cardio days?

I currently bench 100 for 10 reps:( and curl for 35-40 for 8 reps.

Thanks for any posts! Your ideas are greatly appreciated since you all probably know a ton more about weight training than I do. I am willing to do pretty much anything and hopefully in a year I'll be closer to my goal of benching my body weight

Forgot to mention that I'm 6ft 2in and 164 pounds. I am taking ON 100% whey protein courtesy of my roommate and might start CEE in a week or two for that extra kick during work out sessions.

If your trying to put on muscle mass, Do less reps and use a higher weight. For example, You say your benching 100 for 10 reps. To gain muscle mass try benching 110-115 for 6-8 reps and do 3 sets. See how that goes. Then try adding more weight when it becomes easyer.

thanks for the info. I've been trying out a 5x5 program recently for heavier lifting.
