Why don't pharmacies sell cold packs already cold? I buggered up a knee at work today (incident with a slippery watermelon) and have to wait for my new cold pack to get, in a word, cold! I've never hurt myself in the gym, and a stupid watermelon gets me! Ugh! I know there's the chemical ones you break to get cold, but they cost half as much as a reusable one, and the reaction is actually dangerously cold (even with a cloth between) and rather short lived. I swear, someday I'm going to open a store that caters to the needs of fitness minded people. As a side note, this is not a major injury, thank goodness, just a little bit of a strain. It will be fine in a couple of days, but I had to skip training legs and glutes tonight because it feels unstable. I'd rather miss on day of squats than wreck it forever trying to be "tough". From the location and what I did, my guess is a slight strain of my MCL. Bad thing is, I work again in the morning, (Save-On-Foods) and watermelons are on for half price all week. Ugh!

Shouldn't workplaces have cold packs on hand? Especially under the dangerous work conditions you are in (slippery watermelons) :)
