Hi I'm a female and I'm 5'4" and 185 pounds. I would like to lose 50-60 pounds, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I've started a plan and i consume about 1000-1500 calories a day and run 15-30 minutes 5 times a week. I've lost 5 pounds so far but is there any ideas as to what I could do?
This is one of the biggest misperceptions out there. You can starve yourself and you'll lose a lot of weight for a couple of weeks. Then you'll start to lose muscle and gain more fat and your weight will remain the same or you might even possibly gain some. Get a little more familiar about what you need to do. Browse the nutrition forum for literally hundreds of ideas. Read all the thumb tack posts as there's a fountain of info in those. You want to go on a caloric deficit but not starvation.
