how can i work out and not gain muscle..
ive been dieting for months and havnt loss much..and well i started running to lose weight at night..and i checked the scale today and i gained like 3 pounds..could it be from muscle??
how can avoid gaining muscle?
what exercises can i do that can help me get lean? not bulky?

Muscle will not necessarily make you BULKY. However, to be LEAN, you must have muscle.
As far as your recent Weight Gain, There could be many different explanations. I seriously doubt that you gained 3#'s of muscle overnight, While in a Calorie Deficit.

You have to eat big and lift big to gain "bulky muscle". Are you eating too few calories? Maybe too many? Also, three pounds is not a big swing on weight gain, could be just water weight from getting too much sodium. Give it a few days and re-weigh yourself.
Don't count out lean muscle mass, it's the biggest spender of calories in your body. A little can make a big difference.
