I have another question. I have been working out for a long time, however, I am on a disciplined diet and workout plan for the past 8 weeks. I want to lose 10 lbs, also some fat in my stomach area. I am 5' 3" and 130 lbs. It says that it is healthy weight but I have so much fat in my abs. I have been doing yoga for 3 years, have been doing the 12 week ab program from freetrainers... Haven't seen anything yet.
it is related to my muscle-fat ratio. I can feel that I have muscles under the fat, but how can I get them to the surface :)
thanks

diet. if you want a six pack then you have to bring your bodyfat to about 10% to be able to see them.

OK. I have taken out all the junk food, carbonated drinks etc from my diet. no fried food... I try to eat 6-7 times a day. grilled chicken, fish, lean meat. whole grain carbs. lots of fruits and veggies. do you think it will just take time... I just don't want to cut to much of what I eat, I am afraid of losing muscle instead of fat. I barely get 1500 calories a day...

be happy being fit and ''in shape''...
or try the dirty diet tricks short term only to make a change in dieting regime.
EAT NO CARBS FOR A WEEK(OR A COUPLE OF DAYS), NO BREAD, POTATO, PEAS, CARROTS, milk AT ALL.. JUST EGG, FISH, MEATS AND SOME BROCCOLI, CELERY, ASPARAGUS, CAULIFLOWER.
IT'S HIGH PROTEIN SO NOT MUCH MUSCLE LOSS IF AT ALL.
I say for a week, as it's not a normal diet but it gives a different stimulus on the day. change is a good thing so change back to sensible eating after a week.

all right... I will continue eating the way I am eating. Right now I am balancing out my carb/protein/fat intake according to nutrition recommendations. after that I will do the "dirty tricks" for a week and go back to my healthy eating. I know it is not healthy for you to cut the carbs but will try if I have to...
