I'm a 15 year old student looking to get ready for football. I have worked out a little and was wondering how much I should lift and how much is to much. Can anybody help me out?

We all have different recovery thresholds. There are some constants, but see what yours is. Do whatever workout you choose, and rest periods. If the next time you do that workout(not jsut once, but on a consistent basis) you are actually weaker doin the same thing, chances are you are not recouperated and need more rest time.

Once you become more highly trained, your recovery threshold should increase, and rest periods may decrease. There is much emerging evidence that more frequency and less volume produces better results.

Hi there I'm also 15 benn training for almost 2 years and personally I've found that we are able to take more and I recover quicker, than most people! Guess this the only good thing about being a young guy in a man's world:laugh:

Also post what you are currently doing on some major exercises then maybe it would be better to say! Start out trying to not do weights that you cannot lift for at least 3 sets of 12 with the CORRECT form then you can see where you can improve! Good luck man.
