I'm sure that there are studies like crazy about the amount of coffee that one should or should not drink but just wondering what you guys think? My job as a corrections officer requires that I keep awake during my shift which runs from 3pm to 11pm but often goes for 16hrs untill 7am the next morning. I do my workouts early in the morning and try to rest during the day before my shift. How does coffee effect your metabalism and/or the ability to put on quality muscle?
I have read that when caffine is taken right after a cardio workout that it will act as a fat burner. If however, you are drinking more than two cups a day you may negate any positive effects. Like everything, moderation is the key.
I think coffee is just generally bad fo you. I used to drink alot of coffee, until i noticed the negative affects it was having on me. One i stopped, i felt alot healthier. Apparently, an apple in the morning will stimulate and wake you up better than coffee. Stick to real things. It's more like you're taking a drug to keep you awake, when you could just have a really good meal and fruit to keep you going instead? It'll last longer, and there for make you longer.
