Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how many reps a beginner should do when weight training.

Thanks

Hey..

have you signed up for a program here at ft? If you select beginner than you will have a great plan to follow. A beginner in my opinion should get used to the form of each exercise.. to learn the full range of motion and get a feeling of how to contract the muscles at work. So basically 12-15 repetition. Slow and controlled reps is the key.

Good Luck

I currently do two sets of 15 reps in gym - do you think this is adequate for a beginner?
