My best advice to you on this is...you get what you pay for. I used to work at a fitness depot that specialized in the gym equipment you usually see in bodybuiliding magazines such as power tech and body solid to prof gym equipment. We never did sell any of these types of machines or anything resembling the bowflex. Actually it was a standing joke, if someone were to come in and ask for one and the customer was male, we would always say, ah this must be for the wife... I've noticed that alot of the pulley type machines that you buy and pay less then $1,000 where junk. They always seemed to have some type of irritating quirk with it, or the parts were so cheap that they would break within a couple months use. I am of course old fashioned when it comes to gym equipment, I love the freeweights. I did however, like powertech's multistation gym, it was huge, but the equipment was heavy duty and worked great, this of course was also like a 1 grand for the station. My advice to you, is save a little more money and get some equipment that will last and that is worth your money. But if this is all the budget you have, and only have a little room to have gym equipment in, then you'll have to make do, something is better than nothing. My 2 cents.

Well, I prefer free weights than resistance bands, bars, etc. I would suggest you do a little more research. This is a great price, but I think the resistance weight may not compare to other higher-priced machines (about 200 pounds or so). And, the warranties may not compare either. Compare this to a Bowflex or Soloflex. These are highly priced machines, but they also come with a lifetime warranty and resistance up to 310 or so pounds for their low-end product.
Overall, this machine would probably do well for toning. Good luck!

It's marked down to 40 dollars. I do use free weights but im not really seeing any good results which is why I am considering changing. Thanks for the input glad to hear.

In my honest opinion, I actually get more range of motion from free weights. Depending on the exercise, I get more freedom of movement from dumbbells/barbells than any other resistance-type machine.

be patient, the results will come, make sure your doing proper form, eating right, not overtraining, and finally get plenty of rest, the results will come, however, it takes time, I guarantee switching to that machine will not produce any better results than good old fashinoned free weights.
