Hi all! I just found this site and got my plan! LOVE IT! I just joined a gym, but couldn't afford the personal trainer, and I have no clue as to how/what except for getting on the treadmill and going for 30 minutes! LOL

I've got my personal fitness plan and printed it out and have a couple of questions...

--HOw do I know how much weight to start with on the machines?

--How long of a break (if any) do I take in btwn the repetitions?

--my goals are to gain muscle and lose fat. I weight 170 and am hoping to get to 145 and lose the flab on my body, especially my 2nd waving hand under my arms! LOL

thank you!!

The first day is a lot of experimentation in terms of figuring out what weight to use. I recommend just picking something really light. Use that as a baseline and try to do a little more weight each week. If you can't get all your target reps one week then stick with that weight for following week too.

No break between reps, but 1-2min between sets is a good guild line.
