I am 17 years old and interested in getting in excellent, slim shape. First off, I think this is a really great site, but as wonderful as everything seems, I hate to be the doubting Thomas but I have to ask, do the programs they give you work extremely well?

And another thing...

I'm only 17 but I'm also only 5'4" and 130 lbs. I'm not fat or anything, I'm pretty skinny actually, but it's time to do two things: grow taller and get some muscle on these bones. Is there any specific advice out there regarding what sort of diet or which exercises can help one grow taller?

Thank you for all your help and happy bodybuilding all...

I've never heard of such a thing in growing taller once one has stopped growing in that direction.
The program will work as long as you put in the effort. They can work from fair to excellent like any program; it's all really up to you.
Welcome to Freetrainers.
Good Luck

U can't really grow taller if your genetics is not made for u to be tall - u don't really have any say in how tall you become.

now, if milk does help - then i am proof..lol i am 6'4 but most everyone in my family is tiny - about 5'5 or less. only on my grandmother's side - her brother was 6'3.

but as a kid - i would drink about 2 gallons of milk a day -i love the stuff - and even today - i can drink a 4L jug in the span of a few hours.

So, if milk does help bones grow, then i maybe 6'4 cause of the milk i drank - but it is likely in my gentic makeup.

I'm assuming you're male; the men in my family didn't hit a growth spurt until later. My brother has just started to grow now, he was only 5'3" at 16, but he's getting bigger all the time now.
