This morning at around 3am, I was awoken by an ungodly painful cramp in my calf. I have never experienced anything this painful before, and am unsure what caused it. I worked out calves about 4 days ago, so I know it was not due to that. After about 2-3 minutes the pain subsided and I went back to sleep.

I awoke this morning with a stiffness, slight discomfort and pain in my calf. I now walk with a very slight limp, but as the day progresses as does it. Any ideas what caused this?

I am sure it was not due to any nutrient deficiany, nor any dehydration, if that helps....

Sometimes low potassium or sodium causes this crap to happen. Did it make you jump out of bed??:):)

If it continues to happen go get some blood tests done, and you might find gatorade to be of help with it.

I figured it may be due to a low sodium amount..... I use to use a lot of sodium and have cut back drastically as of late, so it makes sense.....

And by golly-yeah I jumped out of bed so high my head hit the ceiling!

Thanks for the input :)

Pickle juice and bananas will help get rid of this. As Carivan said, you might lack sodium consumption.

could also be low magnesium or calcium levels...could cause cramps as well
