I've been doing some research on the benefits of HIIT, and it sounds like that rowing machines go well with HIIT. Lo and behold, I found my old one (a basic Power Rider brand) so I tightened up the bolts and it's ready for action.
How does one go about doing a good HIIT workout on a rowing machine? I've seen some suggest keeping track of your meters, but this has no way to measure any types of distances and speed. It's bare-bones. Any suggestions? Thanks for reading this.

How about a stopwatch?
I read a few things about HIIT that suggested your perceived effort was as good a measure as anything else.
My (possibly misinformed) suggestion would be 10 mins with 4 min warm up, then 40 seconds high effort, 20 seconds recovery cycled till the end. All depending on fitness of course.

Sounds just as good as other stuff I've read. A stopwatch? So simple, but so effective. Thanks for the response!
