If you eat a low calorie diet but it is higher in fat will that make you put on weight. I am wondering because, nuts cheese, avocado, etc., have a lot of fat. When you eat just a small amount of them you get few calories but more fat. Does anyone know about this...

no...the foods with fats we recommend are 'healthy'...mono and poly saturated fats...they help supress appetite, help to keep more muscle while dieting, improve heart health....etc....

yes fat has 9 calories per gram vs 4 calories compared with carbs or protein...however as long as you are reducing overall calories that should not matter...as long as diet itself is reasonable...
