I've been working out for a year now and recently I've noticed that my left testicle gets sore now and then. I dont know what it is. I still workout, but I haven't seen a doctor yet. Anyone know what this might be? Thanks.

I had similiar problems starting about two years ago. The pain got worse and I started having swelling of my left testicle. The doctor diagnosed it as Epididymitis (spelling?).

Epididymitis is inflammation of the long, tightly coiled tube behind each testicle (epididymis) that carries sperm from the testicle to the spermatic duct.

I am not a doctor, I can only tell you what my urologist told me. He said that the Epididymitis is caused by a bacteria that travels from the Prostate. So the Epididymitis is actually caused by an infection that begins in the Prostate.

He told me to prevent the Prostatitis, try to avoid working out or lifting with a full bladder. Antibiotics cleared up the infection but it does reoccur about every 6-8 months.

That being said, you need to see a doctor ASAP.
