Hi, i have been going to the gym mainly with the aim of putting on muscle for a few years now. I generally stick to going 6 days a week with 4 days weight training and two cardio. I have been making steady progress with on the muscle front, however, i have pickup up a bit of a gut! I eat two good meals a day and snack in between, also being a student i get through a fair few beers a couple of nights a week.
Have you got any advice on what kind of a rough diet i should stick to (not to hinder my muscle gain) but loose the gut! (p.s. i take creatine as a supplement if it is relevant)
You're simply consuming more calories than you are burning in a day. Log what you eat daily for a week (including the beers and snacks) then add up the calories and voila...probably higher than they should be even without adjusting for activity level.
