Hi I am new here and really would appreciate any advice you can give even if it is something I don't want to hear lol..
ok here is some background:
I'm 41 5'5" 165LBS. Since December I've lost 60LBS with diet change alone (1400 cals (+-)daily, 4 to 6 measured meals a day, no fried, slenda, low cal wheat, sugar free snacks, less fat, veggies and 1/3 of calories coming from protein etc..). 11 days ago 8/15/2005 I started exercise weight lifting resistance machines 2x week and 20 varied cardio workouts 5x per week.
:(
Now here is my problem. Since early July I haven't lost 1Lb. I know it is a plataeu from my metabolism slowing but when can I expect to start seeing a change again? I don't have a caliper but have measured myself with a tape the day I started the exercising. Should I see a change from the tape before I will the scale and about how long roughly should I wait before I re-check either the tape or scale to know if what I am doing is the correct combo for me?

You can be the only judge about your progression at this point. Weight loss can be deceiving when you start resistance training since muscle weighs more than fat. The best guide is how you clothes fit and what you see in the mirror. If it was me in your situation, I'd reduce the cardio to about three days a week and get in to a circuit training routine. You might also want to check in to the routines that FT offers and you'll probably find that at a minimum, a three day weight training split will do better for you. You just have to play with it till you find what works for you then keep adjusting the routine so your body can't adjust.
