Hey again! You guys are so helpful, I thought i might throw another question your way, to see what suggestions I might get to help me. You know, it is really awesome to have such a great bod after you've reached your goals, but it is another thing when your white as a ghost. I am a natural red head, and I can get a little color, but not to much. Anyone else have a hard time tanning, and what do you think I could use for lotions, or supplements to help my skin in tanning?

You can try sunless tanning products. They can provide you with additional color. Although, they don't last long so you'll have to reapply often. ProTan is a good brand, but there's a lot to choose from out there.

Good luck!

uggg!! I just submitted, and it erased it. Here goes twice.
I have tried a few of the sunless tanning lotions. Most of them give you a real "fake" Tan. The best one I have found yet is Toma's Tan Perfect. But it still gives a more "Golden" Tan look, which appears to still be a little unnatural. It is alright I suppose, but they are just such a pain. Some time ago, in magazines, (not sure if they have them anymore), there were pills that you took to give you a tan. Do they have those anymore, or are they gone? And has anyone tried them. Lotions are such a mess! A Royal Pain, but better than nothing i suppose. Thanks for your help.....

Not sure about the pills. Another option would be to visit your local tanning salon. Maybe safer than tanning naturally, and more convenient.

That is what I was doing. But I am currently dedicating all my extra time to exercising, eating right, and reading this entire site to learn more about fitness and nutrition. I am hooked to ft. Can't seem to pry myself away. In any case, until I can part ways a little with ft, I guess I will have to deal with being white. Ha ha, LOL. But that is the best for me is the tanning booths. Works well. Thanks rpacheco!

do you get burned easily? Stay out in the sun for a long time but put alot of protection on...it will take a longer time to tan but atleast you are keeping alot of the burn from coming in...hmm i am born with a natural tan so i can't relate to you personaly, but try at least like a 30 sun protection lotion...goodluck

Red hair has got to be the sexiest hair color for a woman. You are blessed, I am blond haired blue eyed and can relate to the skin tone. I get different shades of red. Be careful with those fake tanning things you can take, a friend of mine turned an odd yellow color for about three weeks after taking something. I think we are all made the way we are for a reason. wait, muscle, and fitness we can manipulate. I think people are beutiful in their own way. I would rather be a little pailer, or redder then some people, instead of damaging my skin or looking foolish with a fake tan. "If you love who you are & how you look, so will others" I remember that quote from a High school play always seemed to make sence.

if i were you, i wouldnt take the pills. remember, they are chemicals that you are feeding your body to change it from its natural state. who knows what long term side effects the pills may have. also beware of what kind of lotions you buy, i heard that a woman who used a certain lotion( i do not remember which) turned up with a strange skin cancer. and stay away from the tanning salons, the radiation they use is more harmfull than natural sun light. just becareful what you do, appreciate your body, and do your research before buying anything. and remember, dont believe everything you read.
