when doing cardio to shed the fat what is a good heart rate? the reason i asked when i was on the treadmill today i checked mine it said 180. i thought that was a little high for a 28 year old.

Use this formula.....
220-your age 28 =192 take 60% of that 115 is your minimum take 80% of that 154 is your max a good target for you would be around 150 for at least 20 min since you are only starting to warm up at 115. You can also try intervals by going up to higher hr for short bouts than dropping to your min till hr is down than going up again. If you are new at this start off slow and just get to about 125-130 untill you get your body use to this. Good Luck

No not at all. The only thing that would change is if someone has hypertension.
