hi, i am 18 years old, and during my last week of my 12 week program i got a concusion. I cannot do any sports for a week, and i was wondering if anybody has any suggestions on how to maintain during this week, and what i should do when i start lifting again, should i finish the last week of the program, or should i start a new one? I know this question is kinda lame, but i have really been working hard the past couple months, and i would like to keep it up and gain more...
thanks alot...
Eric.

Concusssions are nothing to play around with. I would suggest maintaining a proper diet and take it easy. Many people take a week off between programs. It allows the body to recuperate. I would start a new program when you can return. You may be surprised by your strength when you return. This may be the first time in 12 weeks that your muscles have completely repaired themselves and are at full strength.

Thanks alot for youre input, but if i am doing the 12 week muscle mass program, there isnt really any other program to go to from here, do u have any suggestions on where to get a program, or should i just stick to the pyramid training each mucle group once a week?
thanks...

I would make a very honest evaluation of my progress. Determine whether each bodypart has made good progress and determine what goals you have now. Then, I would come up with a split routine (I recommend four day split) that allows you to acheive your goals. You can include priority training if needed. You probably have learned which exercises work best for you and which ones don't. Design your own program to incorporate these. You could also search the web for other workout programs or try one of ft's other programs. Sorry I'm not being more specific, but you know more about yourself, your goals, and your progress.

Don't forget while recuprating, eat well like the weightlifter says, and don't deprive yourself of protien.
