I was just wondering what your goals were. As far as meal replacements and / or protein powders; they aren't necessary if you eat a proper well balanced diet. However if you don't have access to food, then make up a shake. It's better then nothing. Personally mixing in some of your favorite fruits is a great idea to enhance the drink. Overall though, eat whole grain foods, lots of fruits and vegetables. Moderate the dairy and meats (protein) Try to balance the nutrition to 55% carbs, 20-30% fats, and 15-20% protein.. avoid the sugars and saturated fats as much as possible. if possible work towards eating 5-6 times a day. balance the foods out, have a little bit of protein w/ your carbs. by eating more frequently in smaller portions, you keep your energy levels high, keep the body nurished nutritionally, and helps keep your resting metabolism high.. and a quick note, post workout is always important to have some food after.. your muscles are starving for some energy and they need some aid in muscle recovery. drinks lots of water through out the day.. hopefully this helps out a bit. take care.. P.S if u have any questions, e mail me!!
