Hey there in substitute of a chicken breast i always cook some ground turkey and mix it with mushrooms and onions and throw it in a whole wheat flax seed wrap...so good! My question is regarding the fat content:

Per 100g
7g Fat
2g Saturated
0g Trans
20g Protein

So out of the 7g of fats there are 5g of other fats that they don't list...are they mono/poly fats?

Thanks!

The fat is fine, I use ground turkey myself. Much of your fat is coming from the Flax, which is good fats. Besides, the fat deal if you are not yet aware is much overhyped. Been preaching this for years, if you ignore all fat you can you can actually be doing your body much harm. The body needs fat. Overall calories in the end is your ticket.

Thanks for the response but i guess my question was kind of vague. I was talking about the specific fat in the ground turkey. On the package it lists:

Per 100g of turkey
7g Fat
2g Saturated
0g Trans

It only shows 2g(saturated) out of the 7g. What is the other 5g of fat in the turkey that they do not list?

Thanks!

According to fitday.com you are looking at approximately 2g of polyunsaturated and 3g of monounsaturated making up the 5g of "unknown" fats. As bb1 mentioned though, not sure why it matters.

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't really matter about the fats but i was just asking beacause I was curious as to what those other fats were, good to know though!

Thanks!
