every morning when I wake up, I roll out of my bed and make 20 push ups and then 50 crunches....
my question is, is this good or not... I know the muscle should rest one day.... but do those 20 pushups and crunches really count as stressing the muscle? it seems to develope my chest pretty nice... though i am wondering if after a while is likely to be bad?

it's probably not enough....to do anything...when u're out of shape or just starting out, it might do a lil bit...but after a while it will stop being effective...it's equivalent of walking around the block every day....is it cardio? yes... is it effective? No...
I hope u have a serious weight lifting routine u do in the gym outside of this...
As it becomes ineffective will it make it affective again to increase reps or is it at that point you risk injury?
I ask as I wouldn’t mind this approach myself if it isn’t harmful. I find I like feeling tight after exercise. Cardio is great for the legs but I find my upper body sometimes not wanting to wait until tomorrow for it’s turn.
