Sup Yall I am new to ft. I perused many of the posts and the workout pages last night and I think that you guys gotta great thing going on here. I played basketball in highschool and have since stopped now in my first year of college. I worked out all summer, as I've done every offseason, and progressed well in my muscle gains, but my size never really improved. I signed up for the 12 week program as I am looking to add anywheres from 15 to 20 pounds of lean muscle while maintaining my definition. Is this within reach? How long can I expect to work for such gains? I am currently 6'1 200 lbs with a high matabolism (sp?). Any of yall getting back to me would be appreciated. The Phila Eagles rule the earth

Well, this will be within reason, as long as you make sure you eat enough of the right thing.

I would advise that even at your age you shouldn't expect to gain more than 1/lb per week of LBM. You should strive for it, but don't expect more than that. Eat your lungs out and workout. Personally, I've found that the Muscle Mass workout on this site is a little too high volume - mine prescribed 35 sets, when I think optimum for muscle mass is closer to 20-25. You lose a lot of intensity when you're running volume like that. This is especially true for ectomorphs like myself.

I worked the 12 week program and it helped me break my plateu (did I spell that right????) I am 5'9" and weighted about 190 before the program and about 198 at the end.....I tried to consume as much protein as possible because I needed to consume more then I burned......duh.....ONLY WAY TO GAIN MASS....LOL......Cut back on your cardio, eat 6 meals a day, try to hit around 200-250 grams of protein daily.....and rememebr to get proper sleep.....Are you thinking about any Supps? Alice try the bagged tuna 3 or 4 times a day.(that is kinda much)....plus chicken cooked on the LEAN MEAN GRILLIN MACHINE...FOREMAN STYLE!
