I am into my fifth week of the 12 week program and have made some good gains. I am 6ft and 185. My calorie intake is at 3200 with between 150 and 185 grams of protien daily. My goal is to be 190 and cut. Am I on the right path here? My current diet is semi-clean, at about 80 grms fat.

Javaman, in order to be cut, you need to lower your overall bodyfat level. Do you know what it is currently? As far as your diet, you can consume up to 277g per day. Seems your fat intake is pretty good, however.

You may also consider a fat burner to help (i.e. Xenadrine, Hydroxycut, etc.). I'm glad to see that you are progressing with your mass program! Most (including myself) have been pleased with their results so far!

Good luck and keep lifting!

Thanks for the input.

I do plan on lowering bodyfat in March after the 12 week program is finished.(should give me about 8 weeks before warmer weather). Is my timing correct?

I figure your protein is about 23% of your diet fat about 22% so that leaves about 55% carb. Just my opinion and everyone is different...I would increase my protein to about or up to 1.5 grams per pound (based on your goals). That would give you a ratio of 30-35% protein.

It's normal to eat 5-7 small meals a day. Actually, that's recommended as your body cannot absorb all of the nutrients at once when you eat heavy meals.

As far as supplements, you're talking about fat burners correct? They help, but you should try it without supplements initially. But if you decide to supplement, make sure you stick with a company that is reputable. Search past posts (under Supplements forum) for ECA stack...these are the fat burners I referred to earlier.

Good luck!
