Hey guys i recently joined the fire academy and I'm trying to put together a workout plan to aid me in this. I'm already in good physical shape, but im unsure exactly what I'm going to need at the academy. Can anyone offer up some advice as to what really needs to be strengthened, and what kind of shape my cardio should be in? Thanks for the help everyone!
Well you must be doing alright because you can't just join an academy. You get accepted into them. You have to pass the written and physical test, then to the psych eval and chief interview. If you passed the physical test then you should be good so far since thats pretty rough. Some academies have a structured PT program and some don't. You'll have to check with your chief or training officer.
