Basketball is a very high level of intensity for cardio. So your body will be burning off carbs. When your body doesnt have any left, it might burn fat depending on your heart rate. But, people say that you shouldn't go passed more then 30-45 if your trying to burn fat. Im not tryng to specifcally burn fat, but wut REALLY happend when you continue over 35 minutes of high cardio? I assume that you will be burning muscle tissue then...no more carbs, and to high of a heart rate to be burning fat. Should I be concerned about this cause I play on a serious bball team and have 3 hard practices a week and 1-2 games a week. And last, could that be over training? I do no other cardio through the rest of the week.

i'm no expert, but i'm very sure you won't burn muscel tissue! muscel tissue isnt energy-your body can't burn it! my friend does a shit load of cardio a day (Karate-which is also demanding) and he is muscel-man! so i wouldn't worry about it...
