Hi!! Since you all have helped so much in the past, I will once again turn to you with another question. I follow the FT program pretty much exactly except for the butt/leg workout because eventhough I signed up for the intensive butt/thigh program, I don't feel that the given exercises are enough so I add a lot to it. However, if I did all the butt and leg workouts in one day, it'd take more than an hour to complete which would be too much considering that I do 30-40 min. of cardio afterwards and also my knees can't handle lunges and squats plus everything else in one day. As a solution, I've split the exercises and do one half one day and the other half the next. Now finally the question: is this a bad idea?...because perhaps I should atleast leave one day in between to regenerate, or is it ok to split the program OR is it more effective to do everything in one day no matter how painful?

First, I wouldn't do cardio on leg day. If you do it first, you are exhausting your legs before you train them and if you do it after, you are over working them. I do one really hard leg day that lasts an hour. On shoulders day I do some hip/glute exercises, as I too feel these areas need more work. I have a day off from training between these 2 splits, but will sometimes do cardio. You will probably get other opinions, but this is what has worked best for me.
