For two months i did barbell 21's on the preacher, triceps kickback, and reverse curl. Then I noticed a growing pain in my left elbow. I stopped those exercises. Now I do dumbell 21's on the preacher, lying dumbell tricep extensions. No forearm isolation. I noticed slight relief. Did I do it right? Or should I stop lifting completly for few weeks? What else should I do to treat this elbow problem? Also, the muscle affected seem to the top muscle from elbow halfway towards the wrist. More pain when I tighten my grip on weights hanging by my side then pronate as in dumbell curl.

Well first, I'm fairly certain doing 21s for all that time is probably not a very good thing. In fact, I like to switch up my exercises every 8-12 weeks. Doing the same motions over and over doesn't have the same effect over time.
Now, about the pain - how long has it been going on? If its lasting for more than a couple weeks, you should get it checked out by a doctor.

go light on the weights and cut out the 21s for a while on tricep motions. usually elbow strain is from too heavy of a weight for the muscle to support alone so the elbow takes the slack and brunt of it. flaxseed oil is good to for joints. Feel better.

Granted, this site is a vendor but the articles are referenced. BTW, for those that buy flax oil at your mall supplement store, there's an amazing difference in the taste of the oils sitting on the shelf and the fresh oil from these guys.
