I was just wondering if the fat in the egg yolk is good fat or should i avoid it. I know it has a lot of cholesterol but i'm only 18 and i don't really care about that now. Does the egg yolk have essential fatty acids or is it best avoided?

You should care about all the cholesterol lol. It dont matter what age you are anymore! I THINK most of the fat in those are saturated fat.

In 1 egg yolk, there is 71% of the recommended daily cholesterol intake based on a 2000 calorie diet. Thats a lot in just 1 egg!

FireHawk put it right.
Like he said, doesn't matter what age you are. If you don't look after yourself starting today, later on might be too late. Not to good to take meds to keep your cholestrol numbers in line.
Look after yourself now. Have five eggs with one yolk. Great omlette.
Good Luck.
