Hey I was wondering what the use of these are. I see people adding them to the end of their workouts. I was wondering if its a good idea when im trying to gain mass.

They're often used to bust through a plateau and you get an extra good pump. Another variation I like even better is add sets. Same principle but I like them better for a mass cycle. This is one of those that works better with a machine if you don't have spotters to add weight. Start out with about 75 to 80% of your workout weight for reps. Only rest long enough to add weight and hit for reps again. You'll probably only be able to do 3-5 and if you can do more you didn't start out heavy enough. If you still feel like you have anything left, add more weight or after about (no more than) 10 seconds rep out again. Like the drop sets though, it's a shocker set and not something you want to do very often.
