im new and have just started to lift again.. to lose fat and gain lean muscle.. and i seem to be haviung a few problems.. my most pressing one right now is that my dominant arm is taking the brunt of the wieght when lifting.. i can realy feel a good burn in my right arm/chest and the soreness the days after is more so in my right arm/chest as well.. i only have access to machine wieghts so dumbells are out of teh question and i have tried just concentration on using my left arm more but it is very difficult since im just getting back into this i find im concentrating more on form, reps and squeezing so i get results from the workout so sometimes i forget to concentrate on pushing with my left arm more.. is there anything else that anyone knows of to help me get a more even workout?

Second is recovery.. im am very slow to recover which is unusual for me.. it has been since wdnesday and my arms and chest are still very very sore i feel that i will stil;l be sore on monday which is chest again.. anything to help speed recovery at all? i am currently taking whey and CLA to help burn fat which im not sure if its working or not yet

i take glutamine, roughly 10 g a day minimum, and i find it helps alot with soreness

for your arm prob, can you isolate exercises to one arm with your machine? for ex, i mean instead of a 2 hand cable curl can u change it to 1? then start with your weaker arm, do however many reps you need to do, then MATCH it with your stronger arm.. this will keep the 2 on par with each other.

ideal times are morning, after workout, and before bed.. i take 5 g after a workout and 5-10 at night, depending on how im feeling (ie i did a new deadlift max yesterday, so took a little more last night)
