i am currently in the 9th week of my twelve week mass. i have made some gains but nothing to write home about. i really want to try the "add 50 pounds to your bench" program at www.musclemedia.com. would it be smart to jump right in to another "heavy lifting" program or do i really have to take a break from it? im 18 and have been lifting quite heavy for about 8 months. do i need a break? i realy want to jump into this new program!

wait till the 12 week mass program is over...take a few days or a week break just to support the recovery and then get into that www.whateveritwas.com

It depends on your individual recovery rate. Personally, I'd either: take a week off or go light for a week. Don't fall into the trap of overtraining! It's very easy to push yourself a little too far and get injured or sick.

you really do need a break. you'll risk injury and over training if you jump right in. you'd be surprised how much the short rest period can help your strength gains! stick in there, you'll make it.
